Weston family Easter Party

The Monday before Easter Jake's parents had us all over for dinner, to decorate eggs, and for an Easter egg hunt.

Grandpa helping Dalton get an egg way up in the tree. That bunny must hop pretty high!

Discovery Gateway

My mom, Candace, Laura, and I decided to ride the front runner to Salt Lake and take the kids to the Discovery Gateway children's museum. The kids had a blast!

This was Dalton's and Gunnar's first time riding a train. They thought it was so awesome! They had to call their dad to tell him how cool it was!

Happy Birthday Gunnar!

Gunnar wanted to go to Toad's this year for his Birthday. He had such a fun time! We ran into my friend Teralee, and her twin boys who were born just a day after Gunnar. They were there celebrating their birthdays as well. Gunnar and one of the twins, Cody, rode on a rollar coaster arcade ride. They were hilarious to watch! The looks on their faces were priceless! Sunday we celebrated Gunnar's birthday with a dinner and cake and icecream at my parents, and then cake and icecream with Jake's family later that night. Happy Birthday Gunnar! I can't believe my little man is already four years old! What a blessing you are to our family, we sure love you Gunnar!

Happy 50th Birthday Mom!

My mom turned the big 50 this year. We took her to Jeremiah's for breakfast first thing in the morning. Later that night my dad threw a surprise party for her. He bought BBQ from this restaurant they really like up in the valley.

The kids found the musical instruments to play with. We decided to take a turn as well!

My sisters and I decided we would take my mom on a shopping spree for her birthday. This is a picture of her reading her card and gift certificate.

Kade and Great Grandma Marlow.

The cake we made for my mom says: Fifty, Flirty, and Fabulous!

My friend, Kaedell, took these adorable pictures of the boys a few weeks ago. She just brought the CD of pictures over today. I am thrilled! They turned out so cute! She does an awesome job. Thanks Kaedell:)

SOOOO Sick of Being Sick!!!

I've been debating about posting this but I decided that this is my place to vent so I'm going to. I am so sick of being sick! This past year has been so trying for me. I think my immune system is shot! I've had a sinus infection for the past 7 weeks so I finally went in last week and they put me on ammoxicillin to get rid of it. It seemed to be working and I was feeling fine for a couple days then Thursday night my stomach started cramping and I was running to the bathroom either vomiting or diarrhea every ten minutes for 48 hours straight! I literally thought I was going to die! Jake took me to the doctor after work Friday and they did a CBC blood test and said that my white blood count was elevated and some other stuff I don't remember, but basically the amoxicillin wiped out ALL the good bacteria in my GI tract and bad bacteria took over resulting in some big doctor terms meaning: a stomach infection. The moral of this story is while taking antibiotics be sure to take PROBIOTICS!!! Either by eating yogurt, activia, capsules or something! Very important info to know, I sure wish I had known this before!

Reminiscing

I realized while sitting and nursing Ridge in the dark this evening, that I need to just chill a little bit. I've sorta been freaking out a lot lately. I need to take more moments to relax and sit with my kids and just watch cars drive by. That's what got me thinking tonight. Jake and I got home from dinner and I got Dalton and Gunnar ready for bed and listened to their prayers and tucked them in and sang them to sleep. I haven't done that in a while. Sad, huh? It's extremely sad when life's to busy to take the time to sing my kids to sleep. I should be doing that every night. They're not going to want me to sing them to sleep forever. Then I nursed and rocked Ridge in the living room and watched a few lonely cars drive by. It reminded me of being at my Grandma and Grandpa Dalton's house and sitting in their living room watching cars go by. I got thinking about my grandparents and I could hear my Grandpa's voice, I can still remember the sound of his voice. He's been gone for ten years now; I'm glad that I can still remember the sound of his voice. Sometimes just the simplest things in life are the most important. Sometimes we need to just shut out the busyness and distractions and just breathe. . .and watch the cars go by.

THIS is what happens when mom leaves the room!

FYI the flour was put away in the pantry last I saw it.

That would be flour all over my brand new carpet! Does anyone know who I turn in my two weeks notice to?
